It took me a few hours to do this and I came up with something nice, IMO.
I was listening to Silent Hill 4's 'Tender Sugar' as I drew this, which explains the fact that melancholy is this pic's theme. Hehe. :P

If there is one explanation I want to give for this pic, it'd be that this shows that Rouge and Knuckles are kind of distant: one is in the darkness, the other is in the light.

The rest is all interpretation. There isn't much to grasp in this pic, just melancholy on the characters' faces.

I love iiit! Especially the glowing rose petals flittering off into the wind. Lovely image, and I like the way you put them in the light/darkness... :3 They make a cute couple IMO :heart: hee.~

I've always kinda pictured them like that too: One being a hero, bathed in light, the other being a theif, covered in shadows...AND THAT'S WHY I LUV THIS COUPLE!!! X3

Omg you draw Knux so well ^_^ This is an amazing piece of work, very creative. The way you sybolize their relationship through light and colors is very deep and well thought out. The shining petals are another great addition to this picture, I've never really pictured Knuckles like that. Loosing something so precious and beautiful, (the petals :P) even more so when in the light. Which brings me to Rouge. If she were to go in a 'better' direction than her theiving ways, she would be an even better person-suposedly-. Some people say that the light only points out flaws, but this picture can definitly make a good point about that theory being nothing but a pessimistic fib. Wow, and I just wrote a nice little paragraph. Aha... *shot* Well anyways... this pic is just lovely.
