I've seen one too many deviations that use my art as a "base" so people can plug-in their own OC of Sonic.
Just for the record, I never gave permission to any of those users to use my artwork as a base and I would never condone the use of a base either.
I strongly encourage people to look at artworks or other pictures and make their own angle shots from that instead of using a "base".
If you don't practice forcing yourself being creative about that, you're limiting your artistic growth.
It's like doing live drawing. I hate drawing nude people because I always screw up when I draw them, even now, but I learn from it and when I force myself to try to get better, I DO get better.
So to all those who use bases: do yourself a favor and make up your angle shots from scratch. You'll be glad you did, believe me.

Hey do you remember when I made that base out of your Shadamy drawing then you forced me to remove it and all copies? Well now I'm asking you to allow me to put it back up for all people to use. You see it's just for fun. Bases do no harm. In fact many bases inspire artists to make their own drawings. Others who don't plan to draw (like my friends and I who sprite) would just like to use it for fun, or to show our love and compassion to our mates. Please reconsider.
